Rotary Bored Piling
Our piling company in UAE provides bored piling services for deep foundations which are used in high-rise buildings, basements, bridges, and infrastructure development. Bored piling allows for very good load-bearing capacity and at the same time, it does not cause much vibration making it a good option for urban construction areas.
CFA Piling
Silk Rock, a renowned piling company in UAE, stands out for its most dependable and premium foundation solutions. Our CFA piling services are exclusive in terms of fast, noiseless, and low-vibration installation, which ensures minimum disruption to adjacent structures.
This technology is most suitable for projects which require efficiency, precision, and safety with zero loss of strength.
Secant Pile Shoring
Being a well-established piling company inĀ UAE, our company performs the implementation of secant pile shoring schemes and provide continuous retaining walls for deep excavations, basements, or any proposed building site situated close to existing structures, ensuring a stable earth and controlling forces in the stage of excavation.
Rotary Bored Piling
Rotary bored piling is a reliable deep foundation technique used to transfer structural loads to deeper, stable soil layers. The process is carefully planned and executed to suit site-specific ground conditions, ensuring long-term stability and structural performance for various types of construction projects.
The process begins with a detailed site assessment to evaluate soil conditions, load requirements, and any site-specific challenges. Based on this assessment, a tailored piling solution is designed to meet project needs. A powerful auger attached to a telescopic bar is then used to drill the borehole to the required depth, penetrating deep into the ground while extracting soil to create a clean and stable shaft. In loose or waterlogged soil conditions, temporary casing is installed during drilling to prevent soil collapse and maintain bore stability.
Once the required depth is achieved, a steel reinforcement cage is carefully lowered into the borehole to provide structural strength and load-bearing capacity.
High-strength concrete is poured into the borehole to form a solid reinforced concrete pile capable of supporting heavy loads over the long term. Where temporary casing is used, it is gradually removed after concrete placement to ensure proper bonding and structural integrity. Throughout each stage of the process, strict quality standards are maintained using modern equipment to achieve precise and consistent results. Rotary bored piling is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, including clay, chalk, and rocky terrain, making it a dependable solution for demanding ground engineering challenges.
CFA Piling
CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) piling is an efficient foundation technique widely used for projects that require speed, precision, and minimal ground disturbance. At Silk Rock Piling Foundation, CFA piling works are carried out using a controlled and methodical process to ensure each pile meets strict standards for quality, durability, and structural performance.
The process begins with a comprehensive site assessment to determine soil conditions, load requirements, and any potential site-specific challenges. Factors such as soil type, accessibility, and structural demands are carefully evaluated to design a customized CFA piling solution. A high-capacity continuous flight auger is then drilled into the ground in a single continuous motion, creating a stable shaft while minimizing disturbance to the surrounding soil. As the auger is gradually withdrawn, high-strength concrete is pumped through the hollow stem, filling the shaft completely and forming a stable in-situ concrete pile capable of supporting heavy structural loads.
Once concrete placement is completed, reinforcement is inserted into the freshly poured concrete where required. Each CFA pile is then rigorously inspected to ensure it meets required standards for strength, stability, and consistency. Throughout every stage of the process, safety, precision, and efficiency are prioritized using modern equipment and trained technicians. This controlled approach allows Silk Rock to deliver CFA piling solutions that are completed on time, within budget, and suited for a wide range of ground conditions.
Secant Pile Shoring
With secant pile shoring, two walls are constructed to intersect and interlock, forming a continuous retaining wall. One wall is referred to as the primary wall and the other as the secondary wall. The primary wall is the sturdier of the two; however, both are integral to the overall structural system. Secant pile shoring is particularly useful when open excavation is challenging due to limited space or the presence of nearby structures. This method must be applied with care, as it is often installed very close to existing buildings and standing structures.
Tangent (Contiguous) Pile Shoring
Tangent, or contiguous, pile shoring is a relatively simple shoring method that consists of strong cylindrical piles installed into the ground and placed tightly next to each other in a straight line. However, these piles cannot be arranged in a fully waterproof manner. For this reason, tangent pile shoring is not suitable for areas with a high groundwater table, nearby water bodies, or a significant risk of water seepage.
This method is most effective for retaining excavations in dry granular soils or relatively dry clay conditions, where water control is not a major concern.
Trench Boxes
Trench boxes are not considered a deep excavation shoring system and should not be used on their own for major soil retention. Their primary purpose is to provide rapidly installable shoring for worker protection in shallow trenches and limited-depth excavations.
Trench box shoring is highly effective in preventing soil and rock falls into trenches where personnel are working. Trench boxes are available in various sizes, can be quickly lifted into place, and can be adjusted in width to suit different trench dimensions. This makes them an excellent and efficient solution for excavation safety during pipe laying, underground cable installations, and other shallow excavation projects.
